GDI Improves the M14/M1A Rifle System

As a provider of high risk protective services and military/security training, GDI is uniquely positioned to identify and solve niche problems involving equipment used by operational personnel in military and law enforcement roles.

In the case of the M14/M1A Rifle Systems, GDI personnel with operational experience in US military special operations, identified and consulted on creation of a mounting solution to leverage advanced modern optics on the M14/M1A Rifle systems. The result of that work was the G1 Optical Sight Mount (Figure 2).

Designed with the tactical operator in mind, the G1-OSM (Optical Sight Mount) provides for an unsurpassed mounting of standard issue telescopic interfacing employing both Picatinny / MIL-STD 1913 rail and ACOG channel compatible optical sighting solutions (Figure 1).

Of utmost importance, its low profile design and rearward mounting feature accommodates for an optimal shooting foundation which allows for an uncompromised cheek weld and critical eye relief enhancement. The G1-OSM enables the shooter to maintain the proper distance to the ocular lens of the scope - This provision accommodates all Mil-Spec and Trijicon ACOG optic interfacing.

No other optic mounting solution on the market provides this feature

G1 LOOP-HOLE: The G1 provides a loop-hole channel which enables the shooter to obtain a clear sight picture by utilizing the existing iron sights on the M14/M1A - without removing the mount. This look-thru feature is a critical component element for all military and LE tactical marksman, in that the shooter has the ability to obtain an alternate sight picture in the event of mechanical or electronic optical sight failure - Murphy's Laws are always in effect.....why give him a chance.

NEW LIGHTWEIGHT G1-OSM Gen 3 Scout

Our new G1-OSM Gen3 Scout is our latest lightweight version weighing in at a tactical 8.7oz. Like its predecessors, it also requires no additional removal of mechanical sighting systems currently employed and issued on the M14/M1A rifles. The unique Dove Claw, Side Hex, and Pressure Hex Locking screws, allow for a three point contact mounting interface with the M14/M1A/M21/M25 Rifle Systems.

Manufactured in the U.S.A., GDI Inc. products exceed all mil-spec standards for strength and corrosion resistance. Made from 17-4PH Stainless Steel and finished with a non-glare Mil-Spec/+ matte black finish, the G1 is exceptionally capable of handling the most critical of operational environments.
